Moniheli ry – Network of Multicultural Associations in cooperation with the Advisory Board of Ethnic Relations coordinates an election panel discussion tour before the municipal elections as part of the Suomi Finland 100 programme.
The panels are organised by local cooperation partners and tackle timely topics arising from the increasingly diverse Finnish society that concern all municipalities.
The objective of the campaign is also to create awareness and interest in social issues and participation among migrants and new arrivers in Finland.
Altogether over 20 panels are organised all around Finland, from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. In addition to the questions that concern every municipality, local issues will be discussed at each panel. Representatives of each party are invited to the panels which are entirely impartial events. The panels are organised mainly in easy Finnish with the possibility to ask questions in English.
